Milwaukee, WI. Through the sale of shirts carrying the message “… because what is life without fur-kids?”, Brew City Pet Services, a pet sitting and dog walking company serving Milwaukee County, raised $680 for its favorite animal shelters in Milwaukee. “This year we wanted to help more than one shelter in a fun and unique way,” stated Stephanie Lefever, owner of Brew City Pet Services. Last year Brew City Pet Services hosted the March Madness Donation Drive and Adoption Event for Second Hand Purrs.
Those who purchased the shirts were able to choose which shelter they wanted the proceeds to go to. With no role in organizing the campaign, the shelters included in the fundraiser included the Wisconsin Humane Society, Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission, Second Hand Purrs and Happy Endings. ALL proceeds from the shirt sales went to the shelters and at the end of the campaign, the team with the most funds raised was awarded an additional $200 from BCPS. The overall winner was the Wisconsin Humane Society.
BCPS would like to thank everyone in the community who participated in the BCPS Shelter Madness Online Fundraiser through the month of March. For complete fundraiser results, visit www.brewcitypetservices.com/events/brew-city-pet-services-animal-shelter-madness/.
